Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these silent or sound films?
- Both. The Pickford features are silent, presented with recorded scores, while later library titles such as The Bat Whispers and The Gay Desperado are sound films.
- Do they have musical scores?
- Yes. The silent titles are presented with recorded scores, and several editions include more than one version or score, as noted on the product page.
- Are they restored from original elements?
- Where a title has been restored, the scan resolution and source element are listed on its product page. Restoration is carried out from the best surviving film element, not from an existing video master.
