Sports Movies and Documentaries on DVD
Sports films and sporting documentaries on disc: boxing, football and the leisure pursuits that rarely reach home video. A small, focused collection with titles that are hard to find elsewhere.
Football on Film
Crazylegs tells the story of NFL and Los Angeles Rams great Elroy Crazylegs Hirsch, who plays himself, and Beer League brings Artie Lange's beer-league softball comedy to disc.
The Ring and Beyond
The Ring is a 1952 boxing drama from the golden age of fight pictures, and World's Greatest Kicker rounds out the leisure side of the collection.
Made-on-Demand Availability
Some titles here, such as World's Greatest Kicker, are issued as DVD-R so that smaller-audience sporting films stay permanently available rather than going out of print.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these documentaries or dramas?
- The collection mixes both: dramatic features such as The Ring and Crazylegs alongside lighter and documentary-style titles. Each product page describes the film.
- What does DVD-R mean?
- DVD-R indicates a manufactured-on-demand disc. It is how smaller-audience titles from the catalogue stay permanently available rather than going out of print.
- Are these region free?
- Region coding varies by title. Each product page lists the region and video standard under its technical details, so check there before ordering if you are playing outside North America.
